The location worked OK for us, it has been too long since this hotel has had a renovation, and it looks it. The room was tired, with mildew stains on the wall and dirt caked in corners and crevasses. The room was very clean, plenty of pillows, towels, etc. The hotel staff was very cordial. The lobby was big with many nooks to sit in where you could have a cup of coffee or cider all day. Very nice pool area, but ceiling needs repair. The hotel is old and somewhat shabby. The walls and wallpaper were in disarray. The wallpaper was old and falling down everywhere. There was patchwork throughout the room to repair some areas. The hotel is old and dark. The room was too hot and had to turn on the air conditioner in late Fall. The electric outlets were recessed to the point that we couldn't plug anything in. The bathroom needs upkeep; the porcelain was flaking off the bathtub. The bed was decent as was the shower pressure. I would not stay here again. The hotel is on the older side with old furnishings and the cement block exterior is not attractive. The rooms and facilities throughout the hotel were spotless and the staff was attentive and friendly. I would stay at this hotel again if I am in the area. ...read more

Room was very uncomfortable. Too hot. Air conditioning didn't work and hotel management would do nothing about it. This place is a dump.

This hotel needs serious updating and cleaning. The rooms are dark with layers of dust on the lampshades and surfaces. The carpets in the common areas are worn and stained. I would have been disappointed if paying full price. Three positives: The small area off the bathroom provides nice additional space when two people are trying to get ready in the morning.
